Many who have taken advantage of the “free upgrade” to Windows 10 are finding that their data usage is skyrocketing.
This is due to lots of info being sent to Microsoft. A lot of the so called “features” of the new operating system actually send stuff like your typing history, searches, app usage, location and diagnostic info to Microsoft, supposedly so they can “improve your experience”.
This rings alarm bells for anyone who does online banking, or uses passwords for secure sites, as this info is also sent to Microsoft.
Most of these “features” can be turned off, so if you are worried about your security, give me a call.
There is also a major update due in August, and as you can’t turn off, or select individual updates, watch your data if you are on a small plan.
